Introduction

This Privacy Policy applies to information that users transmit to Dotspotter through the Dotspotter website at www.dotspotter.com (the "Site") including by posting images to the Site via short message service ("SMS"), and multimedia message service ("MMS").

Dotspotter is committed to your privacy. This Privacy Policy is designed to inform you of what information we collect from you on our Site and how we and our affiliates use that information.

What We Collect and When

Personally Identifiable Information

We collect information about you on our Site:
  • When you purchase goods or services from us;
  • When you send an SMS or a MMS to the Site;
  • When you send email through the Site; or
  • When you complete forms on the Site, or send images or other data to the Site by SMS, MMS, email post, phone or fax we may store portions of those communications.
The types of information collected include your Internet Protocol (IP) address, name, age, credit card information, billing and shipping addresses, email address, gender, occupation, industry, personal interests, mobile telephone number, and additional contact and transaction-related information, as well as any additional information you choose to include in communications to us. We consider each of the above types of information to be ersonally Identifiable Information because it is (or it is associated with) individually identifiable information about you.

Other Information

We collect information that is not personally identifiable when you navigate the Site. We log various types of information to help manage and improve our Site, services, and marketing, in general and for you in particular. (For example, we identify items such as domains and browser types to understand how our Site is used and to report these statistics in the aggregate to the vendors that manage the technology of the Site. We also record your IP address and any information you enter and we keep track of which pages you click on.)

Cookies, etc.

Like many websites, we use cookies and other standard web technology to collect information for our own use. A cookie is a small data file that we transfer to your computer hard disk for record-keeping purposes. You can instruct your browser, by editing its options, to stop accepting cookies or to prompt you before accepting a cookie and to permit you to refuse it. Limited Disclosure of your Personal Information to Third Parties

However, by interacting with or viewing an ad you are consenting to the possibility that the advertiser will make the assumption that you meet the targeting criteria used to display the ad.
The above unaffiliated third parties are all contractually obligated to keep the information we provide confidential and to not use the information for any purpose other than providing services to us and to you under our direction. On occasion we also receive your Personally Identifiable Information from these third parties.

We also disclose Personally Identifiable Information as permitted or required by law or as required by subpoena, search warrant, or other legal process. We also share information that we believe is necessary in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of our terms of use, or as otherwise required by law.

As our business evolves, we may sell, transfer or otherwise share some or all of our assets, including information provided by you, in connection with a merger, reorganization or sale of some or all of our assets or in the event of bankruptcy. In any such event, Personally Identifiable Information and other information may be one of the assets transferred. We will post notice before personal information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy and we will seek your consent if that policy is sufficiently different from this one.

The Site may contain links to other sites whose information practices may be different than ours. You should consult the other sites' privacy policies, as we have no control over information that is submitted to, or collected by, these third parties. We sometimes may offer content (e.g., contests, sweepstakes, or promotions) that is sponsored by or co-branded with identified third parties. By virtue of these relationships, the third parties may obtain personally identifiable information that you could voluntarily submit to participate in the site activity. We have no control over these third parties' use of this information. The Site will notify you at the time of requesting personally identifiable information if these third parties will obtain such information.


Choice

Use of Personally Identifiable Information Only as Necessary

You are not required to register to gain access to many areas of the Site. If you use the Site personalized services, however, we will collect your Personally Identifiable Information as described in this Privacy Policy and use it to the extent necessary to provide products, information, and services you request.

Dotspotter understands the importance of protecting children privacy, especially in an online environment. The Site is not designed for or directed at children. It is our policy not to knowingly collect or maintain information about anyone under the age of 13.

The Site contains links to third party websites. We assume no responsibility for the information practices of those websites. We encourage visitors to review each site privacy policy before disclosing any personal information on that site.

Phishing

We do not and will not, at any time, request Personally Identifiable Information or other information in a non-secure or unsolicited e-mail or telephone communication. Identity theft and the practice currently known as hishing are of great concern to us. Safeguarding information to help protect you from identity theft is one of our priorities. The Site uses one or more of SSL encryption, firewalls and self-updating anti-virus software to protect personal information. User purchase information is encrypted.

You can access your Personally Identifiable Information by contacting us at support@dotspotter.com. Upon your request, we will make reasonable efforts to modify your Personally Identifiable Information if such Personally Identifiable Information is incomplete or inaccurate.

International Users

By visiting our web site and providing us with data, you acknowledge and agree that due to the international dimension of Dotspotter some of the data may be transmitted outside your resident jurisdiction. Furthermore, you acknowledge and agree that such data may be stored on servers located in the United States.

Changes to this Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time as our services change and grow. We will indicate any such changes at the privacy link at the bottom of our home page.
