Adam Sandler

Born on September 9, 1966 in Brooklyn, New York to Judy and Stanley Sandler, Adam Sandler is best known for his comic songs and zany films. His first public performance was when he was 17 years old at a Boston comedy club, and later honed his skills at New York University where he graduated in 1991 with a BFA. He scored a recurring role as Smitty, a friend of the Huxtables on “The Cosby Show,” but got his big break when Dennis Miller heard him performing in a Los Angeles comedy club and recommended his to Lorne Michaels the producer of “Saturday Night Live.” Sandler went on to be a part of the cast and write for the legendary show. He moved to the big screen and has had a series of popular movies including “Airheads,” “Happy Gilmore,” “Billy Madison,” “Big Daddy,” “Mr. Deeds,” “Punch-Drunk Love” and “The Wedding Singer.”  Many people know him for his creative song writing such as his famous, “Chanukah Song” which has placed on the Billboard charts.
