Jennifer Lynn Connelly born December 12, 1970 IN Catskill Mountains, New York and is an Academy Award-winning actress and former child model having appeared in “Seventeen Magazine” at the age of 10.
Known for her powerful and diverse roles in films such as “Waking the Dead” (1999), “Requiem for a Dream” (2000), “House of Sand and Fog” (2003), and her Academy Award winning performance in “A Beautiful Mind” (2001). Her older fans will remember her best as Sarah in Jim Henson's “Labyrinth” (1986) and Jenny in “The Rocketeer” (1991). Initially judged largely on her alluring beauty and on-screen charm, Jennifer has built on that foundation to produce a long list of difficult and defiant roles with courageous and effective performances. “Dark Water” director Walter Salles has likened her to a Stradivarius.
Connelly is married to the English actor
Paul Bettany, whom she met while working on “A Beautiful Mind.” The couple's son, Stellan was born on August 5, 2003. She also has a son, Kai (born 1997), from her relationship with photographer David Dugan.
