Julia Roberts

Julia Roberts was born on October 28, 1967, and is an Academy Award-winning actress and former fashion model. As a child, due to her love of animals, Julia originally wanted to be a veterinarian, but later studied journalism. When her brother, Eric Roberts, achieved some success in Hollywood, Julia decided to try acting. Her first break came in 1988 when she appeared in two youth-oriented movies “Mystic Pizza” and “Satisfaction.”  Roberts’s most famous role came in the early 1990s in the romantic comedy, “Pretty Woman,” for which Roberts received an Oscar nomination and won the People’s Choice award for Favorite Actress.  Since then, Roberts has become the highest-paid actress in the world, topping the Hollywood Reporter's annual power list of top-earning female stars for four consecutive years (2002-2005).

Roberts was married to country singer, Lyle Lovett, after the couple had known each other for only a few weeks. Two years later, in March 1995, the couple announced that they were separating.  Roberts met her current husband, cinematographer Danny Moder, on the set of her movie “The Mexican” in 2000.  Roberts and Moder were married on July 4, 2002, at her ranch in Taos, New Mexico. On November 28, 2004, they became the parents of fraternal twins, daughter Hazel Patricia and son Phinnaeus Walter.
