Mischa Barton

Mischa Anne Barton was born on January 24, 1986 in Hammersmith, London, England. Barton moved to New York City when she was five years old and only recently officially became a citizen of the U.S.A on February 3, 2006.  Starting her career as a child model, she was spotted by a talent agent and got her first role on stage in an off-Broadway production called “Slavs!” She earned rave reviews and went on to act in numerous plays. Her modeling career was also taking off when she landed her most notable role as Marissa Cooper in “The O.C.” Sticking with the show through the 3rd season, Barton is now working on two films titled “Malice in Sunderland” and “Hexxx.”  Barton is a very private person and is rarely photographed, though she is currently dating musician Lou Adler.
