Nicole Richie

Nicole Camille Escovedo Richie was born on September 21, 1981 in Berkeley, California. Richie was adopted as a young girl by singer Lionel Richie and his first wife Brenda. Her biological mother was an assistant to Lionel Richie and her biological father is said to be musician Pete Escovedo. Richie is best known for her reality show and it’s sequels, “The Simple Life,” “The Simple Life 2,” “The Simple Life 3: Interns,” “‘Til Death Do Us Part” and the upcoming “Camp Counselors.”  She is also the author of a novel, “The Truth About Diamonds.” Often seen on the pages of tabloid magazines this socialite has been seen partying with many of Hollywood’s rich and famous. Her long-term relationship and engagement with club DJ Adam Goldstein known as D.J. AM. ended in December of 2005 (although the couple has been seen together since then). In the fall of 2006 Richie checked herself into a treatment facility to undergo some undisclosed diagnostic treatment, claiming it was to get help to take care of her health.
