English musician, artist, and poet Pete Doherty was born on March 12, 1979 in Hexham, England. He grew up in army garrisons in Britain, as his dad was an officer in the British army. He attended Queen Mary (part of the University of London) but dropped out after one year.
He joined other famous drug users in stardom after his relationship with Kate Moss began: the two met in January 2005 at Moss' 31st birthday party. Almost immediately after announcements of their engagement on April 11, 2007, the on-again-off-again relationship once again hit the off-side in July 2007.
