Sandra Bullock

Sandra Annette Bullock was born on July 26, 1964 in Arlington, Virginia.  Born to John Bullock (a Pentagon contractor and part-time vocal coach) and Helga Meyer (a German opera singer) young Sandra spent much of her childhood in Germany and other parts of Europe. After returning to the States, Bullock attended Washington-Lee High School in Virginia and later East Carolina University. After dropping out of college (she later completed coursework and earned her degree), she moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting. Bullock’s first big role came with “Demolition Man,” which led to her most well known lead role of her career “Speed” opposite Keanu Reeves. Often called one of America’s Sweethearts, she was cast in romantic lead positions in “While You Were Sleeping,” “Hope Floats,” “Two Weeks Notice” and “The Lake House.”  In 2005 Bullock made a huge spash with “Crash” and much Oscar buzz surrounded the actress. The film did go on to win numerous awards and critics hailed Bullocks performance as spectacular. Bullock met “Monster Garage” host Jesse James while taking her 10-year-old godson to meet James as a Christmas present.  Bullock and James were married on July 16, 2005.
