Sarah Silverman

Born on December 1, 1970, Sarah Silverman grew up one of four daughters in a middle-class home in Bedford, New Hampshire.She always loved comedy, and performed her first stand-up act at Stitches in Boston when she was 17.

She received national exposure after earning a role on the 1993–94 season of Saturday Night Live, where she was a writer and featured player. However she wrote only one sketch that survived to dress rehearsal, with none ever airing, and was fired after only one season. Recent releases from Sarah Silverman include her concert-movie Sarah Silverman: Jesus is Magic and her own sitcom, The Sarah Silverman Program, which debuted on Februrary 1, 2007.
