How Dotspotter Works

Think you got what it takes to be a celebrity news writer?
Do you have your hands on a hot story, celeb sighting or some cool photos?
Show the world what you have by sharing your stories, pictures or videos and
you will earn VIP points just for posting. Then you get even more VIP points
when another dotspotter votes or comments on your scoop. Submitting stories
and celebrity sightings is one of the fastest ways to achieve A-List status.

1. Add a Story and/
    or Sighting

Got a hot scoop? Click the “Add a Story” tab to open the edit story page. On the Edit story page first write a snappy title and then write the text of your story. If that’s all you’ve got then just click “Publish” and you’re done.

Or, add some flare to your story with photos and a sightings map. To get your story published on the sightings area and on the map on the home page, all you need to do is add an address. The system does the rest.

2. Add a Photo

Most stories look better and get more attention if they have a photos. To add a photo to your story click “Add” on the photos bar.

Add as many photos as you want, and feel free to change the title or caption for each photo or keep them the same.

Change which photo will show up as the large photo above your story by clicking “Make Default Photo”.

3. Publish and
    Manage Stories

When you’re done editing a story, click “Publish” and your story will appear on Dotspotter.

You can always go back and edit a story if you want to make changes, and you can visit your “Manage Story” page to track how many votes and comments each of your stories has received.
