Derek Jeter Loves American Idol, 'Drama'

Derek Jeter plays the field during baseball games – not during his off time.

"I've hung out and dated people I've never even met before," the Yankee slugger tells Sports Illustrated, referring to reports of his ladies man status.

Instead, the newly named Gillette spokesman, records his favorite TV shows: American Idol and Entourage, and calls Drama his favorite character from the latter.

But it always comes back to interest in his gal pals, so he brushes off reports that he's gotten cozy with Friday Night Lights actress Minka Kelly. And what about Idol Carrie Underwood?

Carrie Underwood's good. She could sing," Jeter, who says he doesn't surf the Internet, emphatically adds: "I've never met her! I've never met her!"

At various times, Jeter has been linked with scads of women both famous and not, including Jessica Biel, Gabrielle Union and Vanessa Minnillo.
