Who's the best dressed celebrity?"He's kind of an anti-superhero; very different from the superheroes that we grew up with," Will tells "The Insider" about his offbeat, alcohol swilling, grouchy good guy.
In 'Hancock,' Will plays a cranky, disillusioned superhero who is pretty much a lost cause. When he pushes PR exec Jason Bateman's stalled car out of the way of a speeding locomotive, Jason decides to rework Hancock's tarnished image, despite the protests of onscreen wife Charlize Theron. But when Hancock puts the moves on Charlize, that's when the comedic "hijinks" truly begin.
According to Will, being part of a love triangle with Charlize was the fun part. The high-flying stunts, however, were not so amusing.
"[Director Peter Berg] goes for the real authentic vibe; he wanted flying rigs so he could actually have me up in the air," explains Will. "It was a little scary. So they take me up 50 feet in the air, because Hancock would do all these hard landings."
And maybe even scarier than the stunts is the competition in the Pinkett-Smith household, as Will's young daughter Willow also has a movie coming out today -- 'Kit Kittredge: All American Girl.'
"Her movie's opening, like, directly against mine," Will says. "I just made it very clear that I loved her, but I was going to have to do the 'daggone' thing to her at the box office!"
