According to a source, Connor, with an instructor, practiced taking off, cruising and landing the Cessna 172 Skyhawk about three times. The teenager finished his lesson at 7:30 p.m. without incident.
Sources tell E! News it's perfectly legal for 13-year-olds to take flying lessons if they are big enough to operate all the controls (reach pedals, etc.) and have passed all required student exams.
However, according to the Federal Aviation Administration's website, he cannot get a license until he is 16.
I thought it was scary living in Burbank when Nicole Richie was caught DUIing by me, but now I think I am going to have to move for my safety because they letting a 13 year old fly. If you are not old enough to drive, you are not old to fly.
