Update: The baby is a boy and is due in May.

Originally posted December 6th: Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich, 42, and his girlfriend of two years, actress Connie Nielsen, are expecting their first child together early next summer. A rep for the couple says they are "ecstatic." They do know the sex, but are not sharing.

The new baby will join half brothers Sebastian, 16, Myles, 8, and Layne, 5, from Connie and Lars' previous relationships.
