What is Wrong With Katie Holmes?

One picture (below) shows why Kate's been hiding her hands:

 Yeesh!  Why are they the color of grape juice?  Perez Hilton is speculating Katie has undergone a Scientology cleanse of some sort, and taken a high dose of niacin. I'm not sure.  What do you guys think - she is clothed head to toe!
