Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban added to the heated rivalry between UFC and Affliction MMA tomorrow night by discussing his dream of former UFC Heavyweight Champion Randy Couture stepping into the cage against Fedor Emalianenko for HDNet. In an interview that can be read in its entirety here: http://www.wrestlingnewsdesk.com/WND/the_news/mixed_martial_arts/billionaire_mark_cuban_discusses_his_dream_of_randy_couture_vs_fedor_mma_showdown_for_hdnet_200807171693.htm Cuban admits that he is trying to make the bout happen. If we can get Fedor vs. Couture, that's what everybody wants to see," Cuban is quoted by the website as saying, "We'll see if we can try to pull it off." But that bout is unsigned, and its prospects are uncertain.
Couture, 45, and the UFC are at odds over Couture's contract. Couture claims he'll be free of the UFC in October, but the UFC contends he owes the organization two more fights. The matter is in court. Cuban won't be involved in any Couture-Emelianenko fight while Couture is under contract with the UFC.
