Jessica Simpson Pictures: Jessica Simpson Performs At Country Thunder USA

Jessica Simpson rocked onstage at the Country Thunder USA concert over the weekend. She looked amazing in blue jean short shorts and cowgirl boots.

She debuted a few songs from her upcoming country album which is due in stores Sept. 9th.

It’s been nearly 2 years since releasing her last album A Public Affair and when asked what surprised her the most since starting the follow up country music album Simpson says:

“Nashville is a very warm city. The people are friendly and kind. There is a sense of community, which thrives on music. There is no animosity … only respect for one another’s talent.”

“I think there is a strength in female country artists,” Simpson adds, citing Martina McBride, Shania Twain, Faith Hill and Reba McEntire as some of her inspirations.

Jessica Simpson bombed last nite at Country Thunder. She got BOOed. She really needs to do herself the favor too and leave country music. Also - why does she always have to attach Romo's name? As if that helps

- I DON'T KNOW WHAT SHOW YOU WERE WATCHING BUT SHE NEVER WAS BOOED. I WAS THERE AND THOUGHT SHE WAS AWESOME AND WELL RECEIVED BY A TOUGH CROWD.

I was also at the show and she was not booed. All things considered she wasn't bad at all. She should have been at an earlier time slot where new artists begin. But I blame that on the Country Thunder organizers.

Get the facts "tennessean.com" there were a few unruly people, but they were drowned out by the huge crowd that gave Jessica a standing ovation. there also a video on Youtube.
