DEPECHE DUFF?

Hilary Duff and boyfriend Mike Comrie were spotted at the Arclight Cinemas in Hollywood on July 19, taking in a screening of the record-shattering flick The Dark Knight. Just a side note... did you see this? Thoughts? I loved it! Okay, now back to the fashion. Hil sported a cutout black top (similar to LaROK's Shelley Top in Black) under a sheer shawl, just like Elizabeth Gillett Ltd's Lee Shawl in Black. Finishing off her look, Hil slipped into a pair of white short-shorts (Hudson Jeans' Hayden Signature Shorts in White are similar) and accessorized with black leather ankle booties and a black hobo bag (check out Rough Roses' Soho Satchel in Black). I'm kind of diggin' this look- nothing special, but not bad by any means. It's definitely not as bad as that fishnets-under-boots look Hil sported recently! It is kind of funny, however, that she is wearing pretty much a black cape and boots to watch Batman! In Hilary music news, it seems that her new single (to be released in August) is going to be titled "Reach Out (And Touch Me)" and will feature a sample from Depeche Mode's famous song "Personal Jesus." Oh no, I don't know how I feel about this. I like Hilary and all... it's just that when she tries to make music that is "edgier" (as the producers describe it) and goes so far as to tackle the legendary Depeche Mode- it might just be a recipe for disaster. What do you think- will Duff do Dave Gahan and the boys proud?
