The event was the Vanity Fair' 2007 Tribeca Film Festival Dinner which was held last night in New York City to honor the opening of the Tribeca Film Festival. The first annual Tribeca Film Festival was launched in 2002 by Jane Rosenthal and Robert De Niro. The Tribeca Film Festival was founded to celebrate New York City as a major filmmaking center and to contribute to the long-term recovery of lower Manhattan after the events of 9/11.
