Court rejects Virgie Arthur's appeal; birth certificate officially changed

Although permission had been granted Wednesday for Larry Birkhead to bring his daughter Dannielynn, 7 1/2 months, home to the US, Anna Nicole Smith's mother Virgie Arthur filed a last-ditch appeal yesterday to attempt to prohibit the father and daughter from leaving. Today, the judge tossed out the appeal, saying that he, 'is perplexed why this matter is before us' and charging Virgie $3,000 in attorney fees for wasting the court's time. After court, Larry remarked,
