In October Grey’s Anatomy co-stars Isaiah Washington and Patrick Dempsey had a difference of opinion and nearly came to blows, halting production on the hit show and sending rumors flying throughout Hollywood.
Now Washington is mixed up in a name-calling incident with co-star T.R. Knight after allegedly using a homophobic slur in reference to Knight — and then using it again in the Golden Globes press room when questioned about the incident.
Apparently the otherwise talented Grey’s Anatomy actor seems to have trouble acting like an adult.
Co-star Katherine Heigl said, “I’m going to be really honest right now, he needs to just not speak in public.”
Knight told Ellen DeGeneres that Washington’s comment forced him out of the closet.
And still McMeany insists it never happened.
Being in touch with your inner child is a good thing, but at some point you’ve got to grow up and hold a press conference. Didn’t Bill Clinton teach us anything?
Word to Washington: Apologize already.
