In case you've been hiding under a rock, you may have noticed that New York (and the world, while we're at it) has become wrapped up in Spider Man fever.
So embrace your inner comic book geek. Reviews are pretty much in agreement that if you can scrounge up a measly matinee ticket, or sneak in pretending to want another glimpse of Will Farrell in tights at Blades of Glory, you won't be disappointed.
More than 100 theatres across the U.S. have maxed-out their late shows. 3AM Friday showings have been added to the some locations -- a rarity in film exhibition -- and sales for Spidey have taken up 95% of Fandango's weekly sales.
But if that's really not your scene, it's also going to be a big week on American Idol. We're down to beatboxing Blake battling three powerhouse divas, coached this week by Bee Gees big-wig, Barry Gibb. We're already cringing at the falsetto wail whispering disco week, but the show is a nice reminder that America is willing to vote in the millions for something. Maybe they should get Simon Cowell to host the primary presidential debates?
