Johnny Depp speaks publicly about daughter's illness for first time

In an exclusive interview with The Mirror, actor Johnny Depp revealed the depths of the "great scare" he had recently when daughter Lily-Rose fell ill with a potentially-fatal E. Coli infection. Johnny and his longtime girlfriend (and possible fiance) Vanessa Paradis maintained a constant vigil at Lily-Rose's bedside during the 9-day ordeal at a London hospital, but it was the 7-year-old patient -- suffering from kidney failure brought on by the bacteria -- who instead kept them strong.

if he lost her, lord only knows what would have happened to that poor man! he tried so hard to find the perfect woman to give him a child, and to lose the one thing he wanted more than ne thing in the world would probably kill him.
