Racer Jeff Gordon and his wife Ingrid Vandebosch became first time parents at 9:09 am today in New York City. Ella Sofia was two weeks early and weighed in at 7 lbs, 1 oz, and is 20 inches long. In a statement on his website, Jeff said,

It's been an absolutely incredible experience. Ingrid came through amazingly and we're both really happy and overjoyed. We can't wait to get home and start our lives together as a family.
