Poppy Montgomery is expecting a boy!

Pregnant actress, Poppy Montgomery who flew into Sydney on Monday with her boyfriend Adam Kaufman, appeared on breakfast chat show ‘Today’ this morning to discuss how she made it in Hollywood … and obviously her pregnancy. Below is the transcript I have made with the baby related bits, but if you want to watch the whole interview click here.

Richard Wilkins: Congratulations, you’re having a baby,

Poppy: “I’m having a baby! [laughs]”

Lisa Wilkinson: How far along are you?

“Four and a half months,”

RW: When are you due?

“December”

RW: December the what?

“I’m not allowed to give the exact date … I’m keeping it a little secret, [laughs]”

LW: Are you close to Christmas, my birthday is on the 19th (of December!)

“I’m close to Christmas, I’m close to your birthday in fact … well he’s close to … oh see I just gave that away too [laughs]”

RW: It’s a boy

“It’s a boy! [laughs]”

LW: You decided to find out

“I did, I couldn’t wait, I can’t even like keep secrets when I’ve bought someone a birthday present and I tell them the week before when I got ‘em. So I had to find out, so we’re having a boy, which we’re really excited about!”

RW: And Adam’s thrilled obviously

“Thrilled, yes, really happy.”

Also it was wrongly reported that Poppy will travel to Newcastle for two weeks to visit family. Poppy and Adam will actually spend their two weeks in Sydney, where she was born and raised! ABB
