Kelly Clarkson seems to be backpedaling these days after ragging on record producer Clive Davis in multiple interviews. Her seemingly “I don’t give a damn” attitude has recently softened, with the singer stating:“A lot has been made in the press about my relationship with Clive. Much of this has been blown way out of proportion and taken out of context… I really regret how this has turned out and I apologize to those whom I have done disservice. I would never intentionally hurt anyone. I love music, and I love the people I am blessed to work with. I am happy that my team is behind me and I look forward to the future."
We’re wondering if her weak record sales caused the sudden change of heart.
The feud was a result of Clive’s unhappiness with Kelly’s desire to record tracks she had written herself. Can you imagine that? A pop star writing her own songs? The creative differences between the two caused their relationship to sour and Kelly publicly made her displeasure with Clive known.
Has Kelly done the right thing as a musician, fighting for her creativity? Or as an American Idol winner should she not have bitten the hand that feeds her?
