Amy Winehouse is shocked scared after her recent overdose on heroin, cocaine, ketamine, vodka and whisky. Nice. She’s currently holed up in a hotel with her hubby and all four of their parents. Amy speaks about the incident to News Of The World:

  • Once you're really addicted to these things, the truth is, life becomes miserable. And ironically, and most frustratingly, you do NOT get high off of narcotic opiates after you're neck-deep dependent on them. That's why overdose is common, people get miserably frustrated and go nuts with COMBOnations, and that is the ticket to an OD. Alcohol always works, but Heroin has no more apparent physical feeling, though it's absence, makes life utter hell. During the height of withdrawals from opiates (the worst part from 48 hrs to a week), like Heroin/Oxycontin/Dilaudid ...walking to the fridge is like climbing Mt. Everest, so, maybe that was her prob during her gig. One thing I know, is her hits will cease coming, royalty checks will get thinner and thinner, bookings and appearances fewer and farther between, and she WILL be a broke dirtball when she wakes up a 30-something hag. Being a junkie is part of the image she may thrive on, but it's not so cute when you're a hitless old hag. So... the clock is ticking. And her vices are costly. Believe it or not, spending $20,000+USD a week to feed your Heroin/Coke/Misc is not unheard of - if you got the cash. That's another thing with addiction to H, no matter how much you have, you will sink to using, whether it's $100/day, or $5,000 a day.
