Gaunt Owen Wilson returns home under 24 hour watch

His friends and family are said to be keeping constant watch over the Wedding Crashers comedian, who left hospital looking gaunt and withdrawn. A source close to the actor told American magazine People: "Owen is in bad mental shape but said he is thankful to be alive."

"He knows he came close to ending his life, and he is happy that he was saved from himself. He is basically at home with people watching him 24/7."

Wilson was discharged from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center over the weekend after receiving regular visits from family and high-profile friends, including Samuel L Jackson and Woody Harrelson.
