David Bowie Donates $10K to Jena Six

Rock legend David Bowie has donated $10,000 to the defense fund of the so-called Jena Six, the six black teenagers arrested in Jena, Louisiana for the beating of a white classmate last year.

“A donation to the Jena 6 Legal Defence Fund is my small gesture indicating my belief that a wrongful charge and sentence should be prevented,” said the 60-year-old in a statement published on his website.
