Sex and the City Wedding Fight

Here we have some more pictures of the infamous Sex and the City wedding scene. Same costumes, same characters, same weird teal feather head piece, but this time there is a fight. In the first day of filming everyone was pouring out of the church with a happy Carrie being primed and hugged and then looking for someone. In this day of filming Carrie and Big are having a huge, emotional fight where she hits him with her boutique. He is standing outside of a car which is not a limo nor is decorated with 'just married' or anything. She gets out of a car and runs towards him. Is he an unwelcome guest, was Carrie marrying someone else and he showed up to ruin her day? Did she come out of the church to see him standing there? OR was he the groom and did something awful like show up late, or say the wrong name (alla Ross). These are the only scenarios which I could envision preceding this scene. People nearby looked shocked and amazed as Sarah Jessica Parker's character throws roses at Chris Noth and Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon comfort her. Also, were is Samantha in all of this?
