Says Anthony: "We had a long list of names, but I suppose it came to me by way of the Everly Brothers, which is one of my favorite bands."
The baby's mama, Heather Christie, then decided to chip in with a middle name. So, was it...Steven? John? Jack? Rupert? No, it was Bear. Of course!
Anthony explains: "The mama (shown above) came up with Bear. That made sense to me because he's from me and I feel like I'm part of the bear clan, and I think it's nice to have a little bit of earth in your name."
So, maybe little Everly Bear might feel a little out of place on the playground in most parts of the U.S., but in Los Angeles, he'll fit right in.
Only imagine -- less than ten years from now, he'll have all these good buddies to keep him company: Zahara, Shiloh Nouvel, Apple, Satchel, Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz, Rocket Valentin, Racer Maximilliano, Rebel Antonio, Tallulah Belle, Sage Moonblood, and, last but not least, Kal-el.
Kal-el is comic book character Superman's real name. Evidently actor Nicolas Cage likes Superman. A lot.
