I Like It I Don't Like It
Soap star Hunter Tylo's second-oldest son, Michael Tylo, Jr., called Mickey by the family, has died at age 19, in a drowning accident.

Police responded to a 10:18p.m. 911 call last night, reporting a dead male in a pool.

Michael was pronounced dead at 11:55p.m. after his body was retrieved from the family swimming pool in Henderson, Nevada. His death is under investigation and toxicology reports have been requested.

Daytime TV star Hunter has three other children; she made headlines when she socked producer Aaron Spelling with a lawsuit for wrongful termination of her contract. Aaron fired her from his hit show, Melrose Place, when he found out she was pregnant with her daughter Izzy.

Hunter won nearly $5M (GBP2.5M) in the lawsuit; chump change for stingy old beezer Aaron, who was worth a reported $500M (GBP1B) when he kicked the bucket in 2006. So he might as well have anted up -- it's not like he took it with him, or anything.

Hunter started her career on soap opera All My Children in 1985, and she's appeared sporadically on B&B for the last 16 years.

This isn't the first time celebrity mama Hunter has dealt with tragedy in her family; her youngest child Katya suffered from retinoblastoma, and eventually had to have an eye removed and replaced with a glass eye.

Her husband (Michael Tylo, Jr.'s dad) left her when he found out she was having an affair with an actor she'd met on the set of The Maharajah's Daughter; she later became a born-again Christian.

She and Michael ended their 18-year marriage for good in 2005, and Hunter split time between the family home in Nevada with her kids, and being on the set for filming in LA, where B&B is filmed four times a week.

The shock of her son's death has reportedly made Hunter temporarily abandon her career. She's currently in seclusion at the family home, and has reportedly asked to be released from her contract with The Bold and The Beautiful.

The upcoming broadcast date of her last appearance on the program hasn't been determined yet.

Here's a brief viddy featuring Hunter on the program, in an Oct. 16, 2007 clip eerily reminiscent of her own hospital battle to help daughter Katya with a serious medical condition: (video clip)
