According to People, a slim Catherine Zeta-Jones laughs off anorexia reports. Her recent weight loss is very noticeable, but she credits exercise and a healthy diet for the loss not an eating disorder. Many Hollywood celebrities are plagues by eating disorders but Catherine says she is not on of them.
The actress told People she laughed when her husband, Michael Douglas, informed her that reports had surfaced suggesting she had an eating disorder. “Michael was laughing at me. He told me what [people had] said – that stories say I’m anorexic. Do I look anorexic?” she told People Saturday at the Savannah Film Festival. “How could I ever, ever be anorexic?”
According to Catherine, it all boils down to a new eating plan.
In the past she was a “bread girl,” she said, adding, “I looooove bread.” But these days, “I’m just working out and not chomping down what I usually chomp down.”
So much of Hollywood revolves around appearance and celebrities should not be surprised if people start talking and showing concern when there is such a dramatic change in their appearance.
