Michael Jackson- Ebony Magazine Cover Boy

I Like It I Don't Like It
Michael Jackson has to be the whitest person to ever to be on the cover of Ebony magazine. He was in Brooklyn, New York, recently to shoot the cover for Ebony magazine’s upcoming issue, which celebrates the 25th anniversary of the world’s best-selling album of all time: Thriller. The cover was kept under tight wraps until it was leaked by fans and witnesses that Jackson was the one at the photoshoot.

According to a person on the set, the "King of Pop" was "sweet" and went "on and on about kids, though, saying how much he loved them."  Ummm, he might want to let that go, enough with the kids already, donate money to a kids charity and call it a day. He needs to thank God he got away with his touchy feely problem twice.

  • i agree that he doesnt really qualify to be on the cover of Ebony. And wow, 25 years? That's a long time, but he's like 50 now. So that means he was like 25 when he came out with the album. It's hard to believe that he was black once, and he looks NOTHING like he did then cause i've seen pictures.

  • Michael Jackson is still an African-American man and has often said he is proud of that fact.

It doesn't matter what Vitiligo did to his skin, he is still BLACK. How dare you people say he doens't belong in this magazine?! You people are just showin your bad sides here.

  • His appearance hasn't really changed since 1987, despite what people say. Look at this:

  • Yeah, he definitely looks good in this photo shoot. In fact, this is the best he has looked since his early HIStory days.
Now, if only the new album would just come out already.
Note: Those make-up artists/photographers can really make ANYONE look their best. It's all about how you feel, lighting and yes...a bit of photoshop (I think on the cover though.)

  • he doesnt look that bad...but hes definately not as good as did back in the 80s ..(sigh*)
michael jackson's image may deteriorate ..but true talent can never diminish
and the stuff about the kids...no one knows about the credibility of that statement...it may sound true... but just think about the money she may have got for saying that

  • Good for him :-) I wish him the best. He's had to endure a lot of negative publicity in recent years, and regardless of what people 'think’, the jurors sitting in that courtroom day in day out, listening to testimony after testimony made their decision to exonerate him, therefore I think we should leave it at that. He might have made some silly mistakes, but before he's a superstar, he's a human. In fifty years time, I hope people will remember how he changed the face of music and his impact on the entertainment industry as a whole, because that’s what REALLY matters, not who he may or may not have married, and the amount of plastic surgery he’s undergone, because that’s his personal business, and if that’s what makes him happy, so be it. And to those who are making outrageously grotesque comments about his appearance, regardless of whether you find him attractive or not, we mustn’t attempt to strip others of their humanity, because we take away from our own in the process. Before tearing down someone else with cruel words, we should think about how we'd feel if people were invested in doing the same to us...

  • I agree talent is talent, but lets face facts. Alledged or not Michael has been in court alot for various offenses. He's paid $20 million to alledged victims to keep them quiet. He's had more plastic surgery than we can recall. It says only one thing to me. He's not happy with himself at some level. If its his looks he's tried numerous times to change it, and more than likely he still not happy.

  • I don't understand why this article is so decisively negative. I also don't understand why it states that he should feel lucky with getting away with his "urges" as though it is accepted fact. The bottom line is that anyone who has not thoroughly researched the case and the '93 scandal is an ignorant ape for creating their own verdict. I know the case like the back of my hand, as well as the '93 allegations, and I happen to think that the evidence all strongly leads to the belief that he was a victim of an extortion attempt.

Other than that, what is there to be so hateful about towards Michael Jackson? His persona? He is a musician, not your boyfriend. And if we focus on the music, this article is a stupid piece of stuff for nonsensibly trashing one of the greatest acts in the industry. And he's biologically African American, giving him the cred as one of the greatest African American entertainers ever. He sure as hell is better than any gangsta rapper out today. Get over it.

  • Michael is one of the most amazing and talented people on the planet. No matter the complexion of his skin, he is and will forever be black. Being black is so much more than your skin color. Celebrate the gifts that GOD has blessed him and his family with and count it as one of the true treasures GOD has allowed us to experience in our lifetime.

As far as the children thing, I've never believed that he has molested children. He may have but we don't know this and I'd hate to think of how we would have survived something like this if anyone ever accused us of the same things. His behavior and lifestyle is strange but he has lived an extremely strange life from such a young age. This only makes him strange, it does not make him a criminal!!

I'd like to ask that everyone not be so negative and appreciate and accept the joys in life without finding fault with it. Love the good things about Michael and anyone else who is trying their best and throw away all the negative stuff that we have only read about and know nothing of. We can only become better people for it.

  • I am so glad that Michael Jackson is on the cover of Ebony magazine. It seems like a comeback is starting to come, its about to be a Michael Jackson mania once again. I'm proud to say that I've got my copy of the magazine and the interview is great. For those of you that said he shouldnt be on the cover is just hating, Michael Jackson deserve to be on the cover of Ebony. He is the most talent singer ever and he open the doors for many black artists out there today. So what his skin is now much lighter than it was, the guy had a disease, I mean ya'll need to respect him, he doesn't get the respect that he deserves. And everybody listens to Michael Jackson music or see his dances everday, because artist like Ne-Yo, Chris Brown, Usher, Justin Timberlake, and Britney Spears all copy him. So therefore, if you like any of these artist or listen to their music, then you like and listen to Michael Jackson because he's in all of there music and dance routines.

  • Ebony is a well respected African American magazine, and they know what African Americans they want on their cover. All they wanted to do is celebrate a great artist. Who is an African American, whether you choose to believe or not. He has a ton of achievements, that have yet to be matched. He is also a man who has had a long career in the spotlight, that has been going since childhood. Where many child actors/singers fail at making that transition into being adult stars. Him being one of the few to do it, do it well, and to break color lines to get minorities through the door. (especially at mtv)His personal life is no concern of mine. ( remember great artists have the same capacity for weirdness as their creativity.) As long he is doing right, who cares if he changes his nose, cuts his hair off, shop at a toy store, or whatever. I have my own personal life to deal with, and I don't need to waste my valuable time dissecting his every move. Kudos to Ebony and Michael Jackson! and to every other Great achieving artist!

  • No matter what anyone says, I will always love Michael. All the haters can bite me. He's got more talent in one pinky than all of you have in your bodies put together. The majority of you that get at him and make comments will die in obscurity, and those who mourn you shall die off as well, however, Michael will go down in history, more than 100 years after his death. Guaranteed.

  • Why do people insist on judging someone they do not know? He is a musician, so let it be about the music. Who cares about his image.

Either way, I think he looks good in this shoot and I wish him the best.

For all you who want to keep bringing up the lie about him and children, remember that God is our ONLY judge and just as you are judging Mike on this board you will be judge for all that you do. AND TO ALL THE FANS OUT THERE>>>KEEP TELLING THESE IGNORANT BLOGGERS WHAT'S UP>>>>WE GOT MIKE'S BACK IN CYBERSPACE>>>>>>YA HEARD MEH
