Sometimes You Gotta Sue a Bitch

Britney Spears’ former manager, Johnny Wright, claimed he was “disappointed” that he had sue Britney in order to get the money she owes him. Johnny filed a suit on Monday in Orlando, seeking damages in the amount of $15,000.

“I didn’t want to sue Britney,” Wright, who managed Spears’s career from 1999 to 2003. “But she didn’t leave me much choice.”

Wright, who has also represented Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson, is credited with turning Spears, now 25, from a teenaged Mouseketeer into a household name.

“I have worked with Britney in some capacity since she was 15,” he says. “She was always focused. She was good at what she did and a very hard worker.”

The crux of Johnny’s suit claimed Britney was obligated to pay him through 2008 for deals he negotiated as her manager. Johnny’s attorney said she only paid him sporadically and it often arrived with no support documentation.
