See More... Donny and Marie Osmond's father, George Osmond, died Tuesday morning at age 90. George and his wife Olive, who hailed from Ogden, Utah, had nine children in their showbiz family – Donny, Marie, Alan, Jay, Jimmy, Merrill, Wayne, Tom and Virl. Alan, Jay, Merrill, Wayne, and Donny went on to become members of the singing group The Osmonds. Marie, now 48, had a successful singing career of her own, and is currently a celebrity contestant on the fifth season of ABC's Dancing with the Stars. Olive Osmond, the family matriarch, died in 2004. Oprah Winfrey was set to host a big Osmond family reunion on her talk show this Friday. It was unclear how George's death will affect those plans.Celebs and Bubs

Our family has been touched in our hearts wondrously through the years by your unselfish, gifted treasure chest of perfomances. We have rooted with all our hearts for Marie on "Dancing..", and we have been uplifted and cheered beyond measure by performances of Donnie, Marie and their brothers. You are wonderful, each and every one.
Our hearts go out to you upon the passing of your wise and good father.
