Born on June 25, 1971, Jason Lewis was raised by parents Gregory and Nancy, in Newport Beach, California, along with his older brother Sean and his two sisters, Kate and Nicole. While growing up in California was great, Jason was determined to make something of himself and began his mission to get out of Cali early on in life.
As a teenager, while Jason Lewis attended Los Alamitos high school, he worked in both plumbing and as a waiter until he managed to save up enough money to move to Paris in June 1993, where he was told that opportunity awaits him by a model scout.

After a few months spent doing runway work in Paris, Jason decided that there would be even more opportunities in Milan and took off for Italy.
Thanks to his square jaw and flawless physique, by late 1993, Jason managed to land a Guess? campaign, and life was smooth sailing for him immediately after that. Campaigns came pouring in and he was in high demand.
Jason did work for Tommy Hilfiger, Valentino, Byblos and Ray Ban – and that was just the photo spreads. Jason also did plenty of runway work in both Milan and New York, and his face became one of the most famous male model faces to grace the runways and magazine covers worldwide.

By 1996, Jason was recognized for his work as a model, as he was nominated for Male Model of the Year by VH1. Unfortunately, Jason did not take home the award.
But Jason Lewis had bigger plans than just modeling; he wanted to get into acting. At first, there were plenty of hurdles to climb, considering he was not only a model to start, but he was so good-looking, it was difficult for producers to take him seriously as an actor.
But Jason persevered and, by 1997, he landed a recurring role on the hit TV series, Beverly Hills: 90210, playing a character who was dating Valerie (Tiffani Theissen). To perfect his acting craft, Jason opted to work with 3 different acting coaches because he wanted to eventually take his acting to the big screen.

Although Jason was landing bit parts in movies like Kimberley (1999) and The Elite (2001), it would be another TV role that would gain Jason the most recognition.
In 2003, Jason Lewis auditioned for the part of Jerrod Smith, a waiter turned actor who falls in love with Samantha (Kim Cattrall) on Sex and the City, and landed the role immediately. Female fans instantly fell in love with him and he remained on the show until its finale in 2004.

While bit parts in film continued to follow with a role in 2004’s The Vision and the 2005 Adrien Brody film The Jacket, Jason returned to television with a recurring role in the WB’s Charmed in 2005.
While 2006 had Jason starring in a significant role opposite renowned Indian actress Kashmira Shah in My Bollywood Bride, the film wasn’t widely viewed in the United States, although it did pretty well in India, despite a controversial passionate kissing scene between Jason and Kashmira.

2007 proved to be an incredibly busy year for Jason, as he spent a lot of time doing both television and movies. First, he had a recurring role on the ABC hit drama Brothers & Sisters, in which he played Chad, a closeted famous gay actor who comes out amid the apex of his career.
Then he landed the starring role in The Death and Life of Bobby Z, opposite Laurence Fishburne and Paul Walker, and a significant role in the Kevin Costner, Demi Moore thriller Mr. Brooks.

After a string of famous girlfriends like Maxine Bahns, Jennifer Esposito and Monet Mazur, Jason Lewis almost settled down with Rosario Dawson in 2004. The couple moved in together in 2005, but decided to part ways in 2006.
Currently, Jason is dating Michelle Trachtenberg.
Lucky for all women, Jason reprieves his role as Jerrod Smith in the 2008 Sex and the City movie, and can also be seen in The Pardon, also starring Jaime King.
