Dr. Jan Adams, the plastic surgeon who performed a tummy tuck and breast lift on Kanye West’s mother, Donda West, briefly appeared on “Larry King Live” Tuesday only to tell the host that he would not be appearing.

Huh?

I don't understand why he appeared on the show. If this interview was scheduled prior to the West family's request for him not to appear, it seems to me a phone call explaining that would have been sufficient. Why go through the hassle of coming all the way down to the studio to say he couldn't appear? Why not have his attorney, publicist, secretary or whomever call the LKL show and say 'thanks but no thanks'? I keep seeing comments that he has a drinking problem, too...on what are these claims based?
