To celebrate her 29th birthday Saturday, Katherine Heigl opted for a low-key dinner with eight of her closest chums — including her musician-fiance Josh Kelley and her Grey’s Anatomy costar T.R. Knight — at Nobu in Malibu, the Huffington Post Web site reported.

Dressed down in a tweed blazer, with her hair pulled in a bun, Heigl sat between Kelley — whom she will wed in a small ceremony December 23 — and Knight, according to the site.

“When the cake came, the whole restaurant sang ‘Happy Birthday, dear Katie,’” the site quoted a witness as saying, adding that the cake had sparklers on it.
