I remember in high school, finding out who wasn’t a virgin, both guys and girls, was such a huge deal. Some girls were ostracized and some guys were the shizz because of it, but overall, most guys wanted to meet an experienced girl.
Now that we’re grown men, has that changed? Do men want virgins?
It’s a difficult question to answer because there are pros and cons to each type of woman. So join me on my journey to figure out whether or not men want virgins.
How can men want virgins?
Funnily enough, the other day, I was talking to a few girlfriends about this very same topic and none of them wanted a male virgin. Every single one wanted a man of experience and taste in the bedroom.
And if that weren’t enough, when the tables turned, they began laughing at the mere thought of men wanting virgins. Why? Because there are none left. People are not only having sex at a younger age, they’re having casual sex - and lots of it.
So why am I even writing this? Well, because a “virgin” doesn’t necessarily have to be a woman who has never had sex, but rather a woman who is not very sexually experienced. And there are some of those around.
Virgin advantages & disadvantages
When it comes to inexperienced women, there are a couple of advantages:

I’m good by default
Because she’s not very experienced and hasn’t been with many men, she has no one to compare me to in bed, which alleviates a lot of the pressure and helps me feel better about my performance.

She might be open to anything
Although some might think that a virgin would be afraid to try certain things, I believe that, because she’s not sure what’s “normal” when it comes to sex, she might be willing to try anything.
And then there are some disadvantages:

I have to teach her
Because she’s not familiar with most aspects of sex, it’s possible that I will end up having to show her and direct her in bed, which is fun up to a point but eventually becomes boring.

She might get attached
There is a good chance that she might become attached after such an intimate experience because she’s not used to having casual sex.

Experienced women bring something new and exciting to the table:

There’s something very exciting about having sex with a woman who knows how to please and tease, and it’s great to be able to lie there and just enjoy the ride.

A man loves to feel desired by a woman, and when she seduces him with her body, that leaves him with the ultimate feeling of pleasure.

She might compare me to other lovers
If she’s been with a few guys, there’s a good chance she’ll be comparing my size and skill to that of other men. And nobody likes to be compared – unless it’s a compliment.

My mentality is different
There’s something about knowing that a woman has been around that doesn’t allow me to recognize her as a potentially long-term commitment. It’s unfair, but I automatically view her as a party girl, even though I have many guy friends who are more than willing to accept that their girl’s been around. I’ll have a good time with her, no doubt, but it won’t be for a long time.
Experienced vs. inexperienced women
Deep in the back of our minds, we wish we could have it all; men want virgins who have the creative sexual abilities of Tera Patrick. But in reality, we can only have one or the other.
And while I don’t want to end up with a woman who sucks a penis like she’s trying to suck a ball out of a straw, I do want a woman who values her body and doesn’t give it up to any man who buys her a couple of drinks, either.
So there is a happy medium. A woman shouldn’t have so many lovers that her vagina is considered a subway tunnel, and she shouldn’t have so little experience that she doesn’t know how to please herself.
Hopefully, these women are still in abundance and I’ll be able to find myself one very soon.
