See More... Britney Spears’ bizarre hanger-on, Sam Lutfi, is in trouble with the LA City Attorney. Sam, who has been described as Britney’s “close friend and advisor,” is due to appear in court on December 18 to answer questions about his awesome driving skills.

The closed-door hearing stems from an Aug. 27 car accident that occurred when Lutfi, 33, allegedly rammed his Mercedes into a Range Rover driven by Aaron Cohen, a process server hired by Kevin Federline to subpoena Lutfi in his custody case with his ex wife. Lutfi reportedly collided with Cohen’s car after Cohen attempted to serve him the legal papers.

A police officer at the crash scene described the collision as “assault with a deadly weapon.” But LAPD officials tell Us the case is now being considered a “vehicle vandalism incident.”

Us has learned that Lutfi was eventually subpoenaed to testify in the Spears-Federline custody case but has not yet given a deposition.

For some reason I see the Britney and Sam relationship playing out just like the Anna Nicole Smith and Howard K. Stern relationship played out. Very scary prospect.
