It's finally happened…we've gotten out of the fall movies slump and into the winter film extravaganza! That's right, there's a bunch of movies worth watching hitting theaters between now and the end of Oscars season. And with nothing but reruns on the tube, you've got plenty of time to hit up your local theater. Here's what's out this week:
Awake – If hospitals already give you the heebie-jeebies, we suggest avoiding Hayden Christensen and Jessica Alba's latest movie. It's about a guy who's paralyzed but still awake when some evil doctors cut into him. Looks creepy enough to hold our interest.
Juno – We love to laugh. Especially when "Arrested Development" star Michael Cera is doing that funny little smirk of his up on screen. Catch his latest film, directed by Jason Reitman ("Thank You For Smoking"); it's sure to make you smile yourself.
The Golden Compass – Daniel Craig, Daniel Craig, Daniel Craig. There, we just gave you three reasons to see The Golden Compass. The fantasy movie also stars Nicole Kidman and some cool looking giant polar bears. That's enough motivation for us!
