"We're just getting started," he tells Larry King in an interview airing tonight, CNN reports.
Pitt, 43, also calls Angelina Jolie a "fantastic" mother to their four children: Maddox, 6, Zahara, 2, Pax, 4, and Shiloh, 1.
"Dedicated, kids first," he said of her. "[She's] really inventive and great fun to them and very, very protective."
As Pitt has said before, he also would like to do less acting. "It's become less and less a focus as I get older. I think it's really more of a younger man, younger woman's game," he tells King.
The family is in New Orleans to launch Make It Right, a project to build affordable, environmentally friendly housing in the Lower Ninth Ward. They also plan to spend Christmas there.
