“I Am Legend” not alone at the box office

See More... Will Smith got an early Christmas present with his biggest box office opening ever. His new film, “I Am Legend”, pulled in an impressive $76.5 million and is also he biggest December opening of all time. The family movie “Alvin and the Chipmunks” was impressive taking in $45 million. However, after those two big opening there was a major drop-off as last week’s number one film, “The Golden Compass”, plummeted to only $9 million to finish at three.
