Eric Wheelwright (shown in right of picture), CEO of Wrightway Enterprises and Legacy Productions has made his mark on the entertainment industry in more ways than you can count. He’s done everything from writing, acting, directing and producing TV shows, commercials and plays. He’s also produced and written a number of musical pieces for movies, shows and theatrical performances. His most recognized piece as of far is his song “Journey, the Story of Life”.
It appears that what every this young entrepreneur touches turns to gold. Just recently Eric partnered with the talented Mrs. Keisha N. Allen, CEO of Charismatic U, to produce and direct a music video for an upcoming artist by the name of Antwaun Stanley. The two were contacted by the head of BAJADA records, the label that Antwaun was signed to and asked if they would produce a video for the song “Teach Me”, the hit single from Antwaun’s debut CD, which was also written by Allen. Because Antwaun was scheduled to begin touring the following week Monday, Wheelwright and Allen had less than a few days to proof and submit the video treatment for approval, put together the production team and secure the locations for the shoot.
They also had only one day to shoot the entire video. “The house scenes alone were an all day shoot”, says Greg Quals, videographer and good friend of Eric Wheelwright. “By the time we finished shooting the house scenes it was 11 o’clock at night and we still had two more locations to shoot.”
They began shooting the video at 9 o’clock, Saturday morning and didn’t complete the shoot until 6 o’clock Sunday morning. Wheelwright and Allen had done in less than a day what would normally require 3 days to do and while the project was extremely rushed they managed to walk away with a 2008 Stellar Award nomination for Best Music Video of the Year.
Congratulations Eric Wheelwright and Keisha N. Allen on your nomination. You truly deserve it!
