His newest sci-fi thriller, I Am Legend, made $76.5 million this weekend. It was Smith's strongest opening since I Robot took in $52.1 million in 2004.

The Top 5:
1. I Am Legend, $76.5 million
2. Alvin and the Chipmunks, $45 million
