X17 is being sued for allegedly posting a series of “false and defamatory” articles that claimed that the San Antonio Spur cheated on his wife Eva Longoria.
According to a court document, “This is false. It never happened. And X17 had to know that the story was false, or, at the very least, it had to have entertained serious doubts about the credibility of its supposed source.”
What’s more, apparently X17 never contacted Tony or Eva prior to running the stories and refused to issue a retraction when the allegations were found to be false. In fact, Parker says he’s never even met Alexandra Paressant, the French model who claimed to have had a two-month affair with Tony, and from whom X17 obtained all of their information.
Apparently, Paressant claims she was introduced to Parker by soccer superstar Thierry Henry at Eva and Tony’s wedding last summer. But the newlyweds claim no such introduction ever occurred.
Eva and Tony’s rep told press, “No one from X17 attempted to contact Mr. Henry, who ... would have told them in no uncertain terms that this woman was not at the wedding. If this woman exists, he has no way of knowing whether she is one of the many fans who have, from time to time, managed to obtain his cell phone number and called or left messages or who may have engaged him in conversation.”DISCLAIMER: This posting was submitted by a user of the site not from The Insider editorial staff.
