They think that just because we're all full of eggnog and good tidings and whatnot that we're not paying attention. We're on to you, though, celebrities! We know that the juiciest bits of gossip are revealed when A-listers think no one's paying attention.
Take, for example, this quietest of weeks between Christmas and New Years. Everyone's either at home with their families or fighting the returns line at Macy's. Paris and Nicki are sunning it up in Hawaii and all is calm with the world.
So, of course, hotshot publicists go into overdrive and try to get their client's big news out of the way while no one is around to catch up on their celebrity gossip.
We see you, Brendan Fraser and wife of 9 years; we noticed your divorce news! You, too, Sean Penn and Robin Wright-Penn! You think you can catch us off guard? You've got another thing coming, Michelle Rodriguez and your sneaking in to report for your jail sentence!
So, as you're enjoying a nice long holiday weekend, just remember this. Something juicy is happening in Tinsel Town and we will find out!
