Katie Holmes on Nicole Kidman's Pregnancy: "I'm So Happy for Her!"

When asked what she thought of Cruise's ex, Nicole Kidman being pregnant, she said, "I'm so happy for her!"

(Kidman has two adopted children with ex-husband Tom Cruise – Isabella, 15, and Connor, 12 – but their relationship is strained. "They call me Mom," Holmes said recently.)

So why did Holmes — who recently had a makeover — decide to chose the comedy Mad Money (opening Janaury 18), costarring Diane Keaton and Queen Latifah, as her first film since giving birth to Suri?

"I have been a huge fan of Diane Keaton forever and the chance to work with her is unbelievable," she said. "I love Queen Latifah — to be in a movie with all of these women... it surpassed my vision of it, it was better than I thought."

Lastly, what did husband Cruise (they celebrated their first year of marriage last year) think of the film?

"He loved it!" Holmes gushed.
