The actor was was hospitalized yesterday for an appendectomy, but his representative assures us he’ll make a full recovery.
The 20-year-old High School Musical stud muffin was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for the surgery, which is as routine a procedure as there is in medicine.
“Zac had his appendix removed and is recuperating,” his rep says.
Efron, who just signed on for a third installment of High School Musical, is currently shooting the feature Seventeen with Matthew Perry. He’s likely being comforted by co-star and girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens right at this very moment.
